Facebook's Listen In Feature
Facebook knows we want to share all the juicy details of our lives so they've just made it easier. Now when you are composing a status update, you have the option to turn on your smartphone microphone and they can just listen in!
Well... that's stretching things just a little bit. What's supposed to happen (Facebook's details on the new feature are here) is during your status update Facebook will listen to the background sounds for up to 15 seconds, upload a file to their servers and see if they can match the audio to a soundtrack or TV show. If it does you can include that information in your update.
Anyone else think this is a little creepy? Here's a great cartoon poking a little fun at the new "feature"...
