Google - World's Most Valuable Brand

Think all those little ads at the top of the page or down the right hand column of those search results don't amount to much? Think again! Google just unseated Apple as the World's most valuable brand. According to the BrandZ ranking which has been tracking brands for the last 9 years, Google's value shot up 40% from last year with a total value of $158.8 Billion dollars.   #2 - Apple at $147 Billion
  #3 - IBM at $107 Billion
  #4 - Microsoft at $90 Billion
  #5 - McDonald's at $85 Billion
  #6 - Coca-Cola at $80 Billion
  #7 - Visa at $79 Billion
  #8 - AT&T at $77 Billion
  #9 - Marlboro at $67 Billion (do that many people still smoke?)
#10 - Amazon at $64 Billion

It's interesting when you look at this list that 6 of the top 10 (and the top 4) are technology or communication companies.
